Where to begin...

This is our first release since 2020.
We didn't want to entice you to Chester, and then be faced with having our event shut down.

As we slowly crawl out of our respective holes, we are cautiously optimistic.
We have a lot to say as we have been silent for so long.
We have missed you and look forward to seeing you again.

We cannot move forward without acknowledging the devastating loss of our beloved Chester Playhouse June 11th, 2021.
Our hearts and spirits broke that day. For the past, present and future.

There’s a new kid in the sand box.
A pop up clothing store is opening in Chester today, Wednesday, July 28th.
Flinn Market Linen will be selling handmade pure linen dresses, tunics, pants, shorts, tops and sleepwear in a range of sizes as well as linen scarves, beach towels and market baskets.
Stop by and check it out!
25 Pleasant St, Chester, across the lot from the Kiwi Café.

The Kiwi Café has opened The Kiwi Pantry across the street with all your favourite things. No need to drive to Halifax anymore. Asia meets India, meets Italy meets Ireland meets Caribbean meets "London Calling." Grab your shopping bag and get over there.

The Chester Art Centre is on Warp Drive with director Sue LeBlanc at the wheel. There is so much going on there this year you need a chart to navigate.
So here it is...

This year is the 75th anniversary of the Bluenose Class sloop, designed by renowned naval architect William J. Roué. It is also the 100th anniversary of The Bluenose… the Big One.
As part of her Centennial Sail Past, she will be anchored in Chester’s front harbour this Saturday and Sunday to celebrate all the anniversaries.
There will be Bluenose mobile exhibit parked at the Band Stand at the Parade Square for you to explore.

The Fo'c'sle is back ! We are so pleased that Dean has joined the tribe.
Who ever thought the Fo'c'sle would have Pleasant Street deck dining?

The Chester Bandstand Summer Concert series continues this Sunday at 7 pm with the Mahone Bay Swing Band performing for you. Get there early to stake out your plot on the grass.

Covid lock downs have affected us in ways we could never have imagined. As every cloud has a silver lining, I searched for one to share with you. When the Chicago Zoo got shut down, the residents still needed food and engagement. The handlers decided to let Wellington and his penguin pals out for a day trip.

We should train all Amazon delivery drivers to give the Covid vaccine.
The whole population would be immunized by Saturday, or Thursday if you've got Prime.
