A fabulous display of pyrotechnics followed by the launch raft going up in flames.
You can't make this s**t up.

Day's afternoon activities was a jam packed family event at the Train
Station. O.M.G. I have never seen so many kids in one location - I did a
drive by.
From all reports it was a raging success.
Kudos to the organizers and volunteers.

This Week in Chester
We are off and running with all things "Summer."
Picnic in
the Park was shelved last night due to inclement weather. Tonight the
Parsons Brothers are on stage at the gazebo in Lordly Park from 6-8 pm.
This evening's performance is sponsored by Tradewinds Realty. Meals for
the musicians provided by The Stretch Diner.
Tonight, Wednesday, the Chester Drama Society presents "The Secret Diary of M," by madcap playwright Malcolm Callaway. The show runs until Saturday, July 6th at the Chester Playhouse. The
entire village of Chester wants access to a diary that is buried in the
bank vault. It contains salacious and incriminating evidence of old
wrongdoings. The local Shoreham Theatrical Dramatic Society (the STDs)
puts on a benefit in the tavern to cover up any activity going on below.
After tunneling in to the bank, chaos ensues as the great heist
unravels.
