There
are road works afoot in the hamlet. Your tax dollars are hard at work
paving Route 3.This will be ongoing for the foreseeable future. Keep a
book on hand, turn off the car and enjoy the few, or several, minutes of
forced down time.
Maybe take the opportunity to clean out your glove box.

This Week in Chester
Friday night the Rope Loft
has house favourite Kevin Koloff on stage at 8 pm. Tunes that make you
wish you were back in that era again. Kevin and Pam always put on a
great show - there WILL be dancing !
There
is also an Oktoberfest dinner at St. Stephen's Community Centre, 54
Regent Street starting at 6 pm Friday evening. The meal features
sausages, sauerkraut, German style potato salad and dessert. Adults $20
and Children (10 & under) $10. Beer and wine is available. Tickets
at St. Stephen's parish office 902-275-3804.
This Saturday the Rope Loft is offering Hearth & Homes Tours with Salty Sea Dog charters.
Set sail from the Rope Loft dock for a 1 hour tour of Chester's
harbours. Afterwards, warm up with a two course dinner by the fireplace
at the Rope Loft. Tickets may be purchased online here or at the Rope Loft.

Saturday night the Chester Playhouse
presents Makayla Lynn at 7:30pm. Named "One to Watch" by Rolling Stone

is also the 5th Annual Harvest Jam Kitchen Party at the Chester Legion
from 3 - 10:30 pm. Enjoy music, great eats, auction and raffles!
Performers include the Cathy Guest drum circle, Ellie Nightingale &
Will McCorriston, 5 Crow Silver, The Studio Singers, Peter Parsons, Jim
Henman, Dougie MacArther, the Oasis Belly Dancers, Kevin Koloff &
the Gypsy Minstrels. Special Guests: Steve Penny & DJ Topkick.
Kid
friendly activities include driftwood crafting, drum circle, face
painting, BBQ & free snacks from 3 - 6 pm. All proceeds to Our
Health Centre foundation.
