Happy Holidays !

Gingerbread House display

Our Chester Village Christmas was huge fun.
We were sorry our Halifax friends couldn’t join us this year but we look forward to seeing you when the gates open.

This year, “Revolve” is sharing the spirit of giving local with a massive holiday giveaway! 🎄 They have purchased $100 gift cards from forty independent restaurants, service providers, and businesses, and they’ve all stepped up and added to the gift - some by half, some by more than double.
They are giving away one gift package a day for until December 24th ! Check out @StepUpForLocal 's Instagram to learn how to enter, and help our community thrive by shopping local this holiday season.

Guess who’s back in town? Shane !
@Chester’s Café on Queen Street.

It’s beginning to feel a LOT like Christmas....Magic is filling Chester’s Cafe, and the village!
Now open for dine in and gourmet grab-and-go 7 days a week, with extended hours:
Sunday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm
Friday & Saturday, 8am - 9pm
We look forward to serving you some Christmas cheer! ❤

Amicus Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday with lots of great gift giving ideas for everyone on your list. They even have art puzzles and art games all under $30. Christmas wrapping available!

Reporters interviewing a 104-year-old woman:

'And what do you think is the best thing

about being 104?' the reporter asked.

She simply replied,

'No peer pressure.'

We are happy to see the Tancook Ferry out of refit and back into service. A stroll along the waterfront in Chester is always a pleasure. Come take a walk in the evening and see all the Christmas lights on display.

This is new: The Mecklenburgh Inn is staying open all winter. Bring your bubble to Chester and make a weekend of it. Maybe skiing at Martock, then off to SenSea Spa, dinner in the village and a cozy overnight at the Inn with a hearty breakfast in the morning.

If they ever lift the lock down … C’mon down !

Time to dress up and bulk up for winter

The Chester Art Centre is hosting many art classes this winter in all mediums. Check out their program site and sign up. It's going to be a l o n g winter.

We can probably all agree that in 2015 not a single person got the answer correct to, "Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?"

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of You from all of Us !

"You can be tall or short or fat or thin, or ugly or handsome, like your father, or you can be black or yellow or white. It doesn't matter. But what does matter is the size of your heart and the strength of your character.” Herman Munster 1965.

Words to live by.
