Bluenose II rolled into town last week. It was extra exciting as she appeared right in the middle of the bluenose class start line.

The Chester Playhouse would like to announce their 2020 inaugural event, 
"Playhouse on Pleasant."  
The Playhouse is bringing live music to Pleasant Street (between King and Queen) this Saturday at 4 pm. Bring your lawn chairs, don your sun hat and come on down !
This is a pay what you will with all proceeds going towards programming at the Chester Playhouse.
Local  businesses in the area will be open and providing the best of Nova Scotia hospitality.
Social distancing guidelines as put forth by the NSHA will be respected.

Rain Date Sunday  ☔️

The Chester Tennis Club is hosting an adult fun tennis night (singles and doubles) every Thursday from 6:15 to 8pm.
Members and guests welcome ($5 fee weekly for guests).
No need to pre-register - just show up! Light refreshments served afterwards.
The Club is also doing a 50/50 raffle to raise money to resurface the courts, improve the clubhouse and facilities.

It was thick of fog off the shores of Chester.
Uncle Ned was tasked with taking his nephew, Gus, out for a sail to "show him the ropes."
As they picked their way gingerly through the fog, Gus was dispatched to the bow as a lookout while his uncle manned the helm.
Ned yelled forward "What do you see?"
Gus shouted back   "I see a seagull."
Uncle replied measuredly, "Gus, is that gull swimming or standing?"
