Greetings!
April 20, 2022.
While we merchants strive to keep things light and inviting to our
residents, friends and visitors, we feel the need to pause and reflect
on what might be inflicted upon us by the current government of Nova
Scotia.
We are sickened and disheartened by their plans
to charge our non residents exorbitant taxes that will ultimately end
their long relationship with us here in Chester and throughout the
Province of Nova Scotia.
This will go down as a blight on our history.

As we are known as a “Drinking town with a sailing problem” I thought you might enjoy a short sailing tale from Chesapeake Bay, another east coast sailing mecca.
A perfectionist walked into a bar. Apparently it wasn't set high enough.
